Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
("Eucharistic Minister")
Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution of Holy Communion and also serve as Ministers of the Cup. The Pastor and Associate Pastors train the members of this very important ministry.
See the Archdiocesan handbook for Eucharistic Ministers (esp. pages 8-16) here.
Lector
Lectors proclaim the word of God at Mass and are an important part of the worship experience. Lectors must be of firm voice and dedicated to this special ministry.
See the Archdiocesan handbook for Lectors here.
Usher
Ushers make an important contribution to the worship experience, bringing to their assignment a strong sense of reverence and community. In addition to the responsibilities of welcoming parishioners upon entry, seating people, and taking up the collections, ushers also help the physically handicapped, parents with infants, and senior citizens.
Altar Server
Open to girls and boys ages 8 and over, altar servers assist at Sunday masses and other liturgies. They must take part in training and be willing to make a commitment. Contact Fr. Maximo Villanueva at the Parish Office.
Leisure Club Luncheon
Each Tuesday from October through May, interested senior citizens meet for worship and lunch. Participants attend the 12:15 Mass in the Church, followed by lunch in the Rochester Room. Volunteers are always welcome, especially to assist with preparing, serving, and clearing the lunch.
Coffee Hour Volunteers
A coffee hour is held in the Rochester Room following the Family Mass every Sunday. This is a special time for longtime parishioners, newcomers, and visitors to meet in an informal setting. Join us to enjoy a coffee and something sweet. Volunteers are needed to host the coffee hour.
For more information or to host an upcoming coffee hour, see our sign-up sheet here.
The Parish Council
The Parish Council represents an important level of laity participation. Please refer to the separate pages on the Parish Council in this section.
The Parish Office
The Parish Office needs help in continuing to meet the needs of our growing parish life community. We have many daily visitors, including parishioners as well as those who support the church's operational needs. We appreciate the help of dedicated volunteers who can provide administrative support, good will and a calming spirit.
