St Thomas More and the Making All Things New (MATN) Committee finalized the joint (STM, St. Ignatius Loyola, St. Francis de Sales) report requested by the Archdiocese regarding the proposed merger of STM with St. Ignatius Loyola. The report was submitted March 1 and a summary was included in the March 1 printed Bulletin. A copy of the bulletin text is available on the STM website. Fr. Madigan will be presenting the STM case as part of a two day review at the Archdiocese (revised dates: Mar 11 & 12) and expects continuing support from committee constituents who endorsed STM’s independence in the previous review. A final decision is expected from Cardinal Dolan by the end of April. Links to videos documenting persuasive parishioner and school support (Nightingale-Bamford School and St. David’s School) was sent to parishioners with STM registered emails and can also be found on our website homepage. Heartfelt thanks again to all parishioners who showed their unwavering support for STM in numerous ways and the efforts of the MATN Committee comprised of Christopher Baldwin, William Fleming, Sim Johnston, Michael Poulos, Ed Reilly Jr and Catherine Scalera.
